Megan Faux

In Megan Faux, Fauxpamine constructs a para-portraiture of mediated femininity and aspirational delusion through the recursive icon of Megan Fox, not as individual, but as digital archetype. These works do not seek to represent the actress herself, but rather her spectral utility: a cultural shorthand for desirability, aesthetic authority, and unreachable validation.
Each piece positions itself within a semiotic echo chamber, where the idea of beauty is filtered through irony, spite, and glitch. What emerges is a collective hallucination of identity as performance, flirtation as bloodsport, and memory as meme. The result is a destabilized femininity: not broken, but wearing someone else’s face and saying it’s hers. And everyone claps.
